SR 417/South Access Road/Boggy Creek Road Interchange

Improved Interchange Enhances Airport Access
Orlando, Florida

With more than 800 flights daily, the Orlando International Airport serves upwards of 35,000,000 passengers annually. The vast majority of passengers access this second largest Florida airport by car or bus, causing severe congestion for commuters and passengers alike.

We designed a four-level interchange with flyover ramps that connects the adjacent high speed limited access highway to the airport's access road. This will alleviate the congestion where airport traffic normally meets local traffic, and provide an easy access to and from the airport. Three of the bridges were designed as post tensioned curved concrete U-beam bridges, the first of its kind in Florida.
