Building on a pilot project we executed for the California Emergency Management Agency, we developed a transportation plan for the evacuation of people with access and functional needs in Kern County. The plan serves as a practical guide during an emergency and may be utilized independent of the county's emergency operations plan. We worked closely with the County to integrate non-traditional agencies and organizations to creatively address resource issues.
