Concrete Basin Rehabilitation

Rehabilitating a 70-Year-Old Concrete Basin
Pryor, Oklahoma

To rehabilitate an open-top concrete basin constructed in the 1940s and purchased by Pryor Chemical Company in Pryor, Oklahoma, we recommended repairing existing interior cracks using water proofing materials on the basin to return the structure to a like new condition. Since drawings of the structure did not exist, we performed 12 non-destructive ferroscans that determined the size and spacing of the reinforcing steel in the basin.

Through the ferroscans and visual inspections we concluded that the concrete basin was in good condition and would be capable of supporting 12.5 feet of water depth once cracks are sealed.
