Angler’s Park is made up of 6.27 acres of mitigated wetlands and was created to compensate for authorized impacts associated with the Cane Creek Centre development. We conducted the initial wetland delineation of the mitigation site, identifying the existing wetlands to be expanded or enhanced. Utilizing the data, we evaluated existing site conditions and hydrology and prepared the final wetland mitigation plan, which included the water budget, erosion and sediment control plan, construction monitoring plan, post-construction monitoring plan, planting schedule, and an invasive and noxious weed control plan.

We conducted pre-construction monitoring and produced pre-construction submittals to the Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) and the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers (USACE). After construction was completed, we continued wetland monitoring services, including installation of groundwater monitoring piezometers, groundwater water elevation monitoring, soil monitoring, and vegetation community analysis. Further monitoring services included wildlife observations, corrective measures, submittal of success monitoring reports, and onsite meetings with DEQ and USACE regarding mitigation success.
