Our firm provided construction management services for the Black Lives Matter Plaza in Washington, D.C., which includes a 48-foot mural in vibrant thermoplastic lettering. Construction included installation of roadway pavers, concrete islands with ADA-compliant ramps, lighted bollards, crosswalk push buttons, storm inlets, curbs and gutters, manholes, and asphalt mill and overlay. The project also includes the installation of benches, lighting, and signage around the site. The two-block segment of 16th Street NW is now open for pedestrians.
