This article describes how the New York City Department of Design and Construction and New York City Department of Environmental Protection, in conjunction with Dewberry, helped plan an alignment to install two 20-inch sub-aqueous water mains to City Island, thereby updating existing infrastructure for the sole source of water for the island.
