Dewberry, a privately held professional services firm, has announced that Ken Davis, PE, will oversee strategic growth for the firm’s nationwide alternative project delivery practice, which has delivered more than 180 design-build projects at a construction value of over $27 billion, particularly for transportation agencies, water utilities, and other key clients. He is based in the firm’s Baltimore, Maryland, office.
Davis has nearly 30 years of progressive project management experience delivering complex transportation and alternative delivery projects. He has managed numerous projects for various state departments of transportation, contractors, and concessionaires. He has been instrumental in the success of landmark projects such as the Intercounty Connector design-build project and the I-495 American Legion Bridge Predevelopment public-private partnership (P3) in Maryland, the Dulles Corridor Metrorail Project in Viginia, and the I-25 TREX design-build project in Colorado while with another firm.
“Ken brings extensive expertise that will be instrumental as we expand our alternative delivery practice,” says Dewberry Chief Executive Officer David J. Mahoney, PE. “I look forward to the leadership and impact he will bring in this role—helping drive our firm’s continued growth while strengthening and cultivating client relationships.”
Davis earned a master’s (1998) and bachelor’s (1996) in civil engineering from Clemson University. He is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, American Society of Highway Engineers, Maryland Association of Engineers, and the Society of American Military Engineers.
