Dewberry, a privately held professional services firm, has announced that Carl McGloughlin, PE, CBSI, has joined its northeast practice as senior associate and regional transportation market sector leader supporting growth in eastern Pennsylvania. He will be responsible for increasing Dewberry’s diversification efforts across all market sectors.
With nearly 30 years of experience in the transportation infrastructure industry, McGloughlin has a background in project management and transportation engineering design, including bridge replacements or rehabilitations for the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT), New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT), and local municipalities across Pennsylvania and New Jersey. He has also collaborated with local transportation authorities, such as the Lehigh and Northampton Transportation Authority (LANTA), on a variety of public transportation projects. In his new role as regional transportation market sector leader, McGloughlin will be responsible for driving growth in Dewberry’s northeast transportation market sector, recruiting and developing staff, and identifying and pursuing opportunities across eastern Pennsylvania.

McGloughlin earned a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Lafayette College (1997) and a master’s degree in civil engineering from Rutgers (2002). He is a member of the American Society of Highway Engineers (ASHE), where he is treasurer and past president of the East Penn section. McGloughlin is also active in the Women’s Transportation Seminar (WTS) Lehigh Valley Annex and previously worked with the transportation committee for the Greater Lehigh Valley Area Chamber of Commerce.
