Cardone has been a member of ASHE for nearly 20 years. She is the current first vice president and director of programs for the ASHE New York Metro section, where she sets board policies and leads the planning of events, technical programming, presentations, and panel discussions. In partnership with ASHE New York Metro and the Women’s Transportation Seminar (WTS) of Greater New York, Cardone implemented and sponsored the 2026 Empowering Women scholarship awards in support of New York college students. She also holds several regional and national board positions, including chair of the ASHE Northeast Region New Sections Committee and chair of the ASHE Scanner National Magazine Committee. In this role, Cardone manages the magazine content and oversees the editor and publisher. She also established the Scanner Articles of the Year awards, which are now presented annually at the ASHE National Conference to recognize excellence in technical writing and thought leadership. At the 2025 ASHE National Conference, Cardone was awarded the ASHE National President’s Award in recognition of these efforts. As chair of the New Sections Committee, she opens new sections of ASHE throughout the northeast. Cardone’s first achievement was the ASHE New England section, where she worked to bring clients and consultants together to form the section. She also became a charter member.

Cardone has over 40 years of experience in client services, business development, and marketing for the architecture, engineering, and construction industry. She currently serves as senior associate and director of marketing and client services in Dewberry’s New York office, where she is responsible for client management and strategic firm positioning.

Cardone earned a bachelor’s degree in communications and English from Seton Hall University (1981). In addition to her involvement with ASHE, she is a member of the American Council of Engineering Companies, where she serves on several committees, Metropolitan Railway Club of New York, New York City Building Congress, Society of American Military Engineers, where she serves on the Dinner Dance Committee, Society for Marketing Professional Services, Waterfront Alliance Council, and WTS.
