Dewberry, a privately held professional services firm, has announced the promotion of five individuals across its northeast practice.
Those named vice president include:
- Rahul Parab, PE, BC.WRE, CFM, is a department manager and national flood resilience engineering leader based in the New York City office with nearly 25 years of experience in water resources and construction engineering for stormwater systems and flood resilience infrastructure. Parab earned a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Mumbai (2001) and a master’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Toledo (2003). He is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), American Water Resources Association (AWRA), Association of State Floodplain Managers (ASFPM), and the New York Water Environment Association (NYWEA).
- Joseph Pavao, PE, is the business unit manager for the Boston, Massachusetts, office, overseeing a team of transportation, water, site/civil, and geographic information systems professionals. With nearly 35 years of experience, Pavao has a background in managing multi-million-dollar contracts and design-build projects. He earned a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Massachusetts at Lowell (1992). Pavao serves as the first vice president for the American Society of Highway Engineers (ASHE), New England Section.
- Benjamin Revette, PE, is the business unit manager for the national telecommunications engineering and electric vehicle (EV) group. He has over 25 years of experience in the design and construction of wireless telecommunications facilities and EV infrastructure. Revette earned a bachelor’s degree in interdisciplinary engineering and management from Clarkson University (1998). He is a member of ASCE and an executive board member of the New England Wireless Association.
Those named associate vice president include:
- Leon Ostrovsky, PE, is a department manager in the New York City transportation group with nearly 30 years of experience in designing or leading highway, street, and site development projects. He earned a bachelor’s degree in ground transportation management from Lviv Polytechnic National University in Lviv, Ukraine (1989), and a master’s degree in transportation planning and engineering from the Polytechnic Institute of New York University (1996). He is a member of ASCE and ASHE.
- Dave Palumbo, PE, is a senior project manager and project controls lead in the firm’s alternative delivery practice based in Bloomfield, New Jersey. His career of over 35 years spans infrastructure design and project management in site/civil, structural, surveying, environmental, telecommunications, and water/wastewater engineering. Palumbo also served as technology manager for Dewberry’s engineering service group for over 15 years, advancing the firm’s application of new technologies to reduce risk while increasing productivity and security. Palumbo earned a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art (1989).
