Dewberry, a privately held professional services firm, has announced that it has been awarded a continuing services contract by Space Florida. Under this contract, the firm will provide planning, engineering, and construction phase services in support of the Spaceport Improvement Program (SIP). Coordinated by Space Florida and the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) since 2012, SIP enables the development of space transportation infrastructure for the state and provides funding for aerospace projects.
The services covered by this contract include program management and support; aviation and spaceport planning and design; site/civil engineering; transportation planning and engineering; strategic and master planning; asset management; permitting and regulatory compliance; architecture and interior design; environmental services; geospatial technology, geographic information systems (GIS), survey, and mapping; facilities assessment, planning, and design; water and wastewater utilities; stormwater management and design; stakeholder coordination; financial/economic benefits analysis; and construction engineering inspection.
