Dewberry, a privately held professional services firm, has announced that Mike Holt, PE, PTOE, has joined the firm as an associate vice president and department manager in its Georgia transportation practice. In this role, Holt will continue to grow Dewberry’s transportation team and practice by securing large-scale contracts, overseeing the strategic expansion of the team, and nurturing client relationships.
Holt has more than 35 years of transportation experience in Georgia. Previously, he served as senior principal and business center practice leader for an international engineering and architecture firm, leading a team of 120 employees across Georgia and the Carolinas. Throughout his career, he has worked with many state and local clients, including the Georgia Department of Transportation (DOT), various other DOTs across the southeast, and several local municipalities. He supported the pursuit and coordination of multi-million-dollar contracts, including design-build and multi-discipline projects. Holt’s expertise includes traffic engineering, design-build coordination, project management, quality control initiatives, business development, client management, and staff recruitment and retention.

Holt earned his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Clemson University (1990). He is a past president of the Georgia Section of the Institute of Transportation Engineers and a past president of the Intelligent Transportation Society (ITS) of Georgia, where he currently serves as the ITS America State Chapter Liaison.
