Dewberry, a privately held professional services firm, announced that it has been certified at level 2 of the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) by a Certified Third-Party Assessor Organization (C3PAO) who was accredited by The Cyber AB. This certification enables Dewberry to safeguard controlled unclassified information while delivering projects to the Department of Defense (DoD) to limit digital risks to its supply chain and support infrastructure.
According to the Federal Register, a CMMC Level 2 appraisal means Dewberry has achieved the following goals:
- Safeguard sensitive information to enable and protect the warfighter
- Enforce Defense Industrial Base (DIB) cybersecurity standards to meet evolving threats
- Stay accountable while minimizing barriers to compliance with DoD requirements
- Perpetuate a collaborative culture of cybersecurity and cyber resilience
- Maintain public trust through high professional and ethical standards
President of Dewberry’s consulting practice, Phil Thiel, says, “As we continue to seek ways to better serve our clients, we’re excited to offer this additional safeguard to our federal projects, specifically those we’re delivering to DoD clients.” He adds, “This certification is a reflection of our dedication to providing our clients with services that are achieved through safe, secure, and reliable infrastructure.”
