Peterson has more than 20 years of experience in civil engineering and land surveying and is a dually licensed professional engineer and professional land surveyor in New Jersey. At Dewberry, she is an associate vice president and manager of strategic client engagement across New Jersey and is based in the firm’s Mount Laurel, New Jersey, office.

“It’s a true honor to be appointed to this position with the New Jersey State Board of Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors,” says Peterson. “I look forward to serving as the board’s president and contributing to maintaining public safety and professional standards for the engineering and land surveying industries in my state.”

Peterson earned a bachelor’s degree in survey engineering technology from the New Jersey Institute of Technology (2010) and a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the Stevens Institute of Technology (2002). She is vice chair of the American Council of Engineering Companies of New Jersey’s New Jersey Department of Transportation Design Committee. She is also on the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying’s Examinations for Professional Surveyors Committee. In addition, Peterson is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, American Society of Highway Engineers, New Jersey Society of Professional Land Surveyors, and the Women’s Transportation Seminar. Peterson was named a 2018 Top Young Professional by Engineering News-Record New York and listed among the Women to Watch by South Jersey Biz in its February 2019 issue.
