Dewberry, a privately held professional services firm, has announced that Maxwell (Max) Hardy, PE, has been promoted to regional market segment leader for the firm’s Northern California water practice. In this new role, Hardy will continue to manage the water/wastewater structural engineering group in Northern California and will lead water-related marketing efforts. He will also continue to foster collaboration between the Northern California water group and the firm’s water group in the Denver, Colorado, office to help expand and grow the water discipline and client base in the west.
Hardy has over a decade of experience in design and project management for hydraulic and environmental structures. He currently serves as Dewberry’s lead structural engineer of the new wastewater treatment facility at the Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center (MCAGCC) in Twentynine Palms, California.

Hardy earned his bachelor’s in civil engineering from California State University Sacramento (2013). He is a member of the American Concrete Institute, American Water Works Association, California Water Environment Association, and the Structural Engineers Association of Central California.
