Mahoney has more than four decades of experience and joined Dewberry in 1986. He also serves as the market segment leader for the firm’s transportation practice. In the last five years, Dewberry’s transportation market segment has generated more than $1 billion in revenue, delivering projects to clients across the country, including the New Jersey Turnpike Authority, Metropolitan Transportation Authority, Virginia Department of Transportation, New Jersey Department of Transportation, Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, Central Florida Expressway Authority, North Carolina Department of Transportation, and more.

Mahoney also leads Dewberry’s alternative project delivery practice, which has completed more than 165 design-build projects with a construction value of over $22 billion.

In his new role, Mahoney will oversee the firm’s program delivery functions and associated risk management teams, including alternative project delivery, quality management system, cash management, and health, safety, and environment programs.

Mahoney earned a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from South Dakota State University (1984). He is a member of the American Public Works Association, American Road and Transportation Builders Association, Design-Build Institute of American, and the Dulles Area Transportation Association. Mahoney has been appointed president of Dewberry’s holding company.
