Dewberry, a privately held professional services firm, has announced that Patrick Luff has joined the firm as principal engineer to support the national flood resilience engineering practice. He will be based in the firm’s New York City office.
Luff has more than 15 years of experience in structural engineering, designing large and complex hydraulic structures for civil works infrastructure projects, including dams and levees. Prior to joining Dewberry, he worked for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) as a structural engineering subject matter expert, providing technical advice, production capability, and oversight for all aspects related to structural engineering for flood resilience projects.
In his new role, Luff will serve as a national technical lead on engineering and construction of large-scale flood resilience projects in coastal and riverine environments, helping to grow the firm’s resilience efforts in various market segments.
“Patrick brings tremendous knowledge and experience to our flood resilience engineering practice, and I’m confident he will help advance our enterprise-wide resilience growth initiative,” says Rahul Parab, PE, BC.WRE, CFM. “His background in leading multi-disciplinary teams, subject matter expertise on structural engineering, and experience working with USACE will be key in assisting our clients in solving their challenges.”
Luff received a bachelor’s in civil engineering from Ohio State University (2009). He is a member of the Society of American Military Engineers.
