Dewberry, a privately held professional services firm, has announced the promotion of Stacey McKavish to chief human resources officer (CHRO). In this role, McKavish will oversee all human resources functions of the 2,500-person organization, as well as a team of nearly 30 benefits, compensation, human resources, recruiting, and training specialists.
McKavish joined the firm in 2012 and has served as both a regional recruiter and human resources manager. During her tenure with Dewberry, she has focused on proactive and strategic outreach efforts to support the firm’s growth. McKavish works closely with Dewberry’s leadership team on retention, employee development, and performance management programs. For the past four years, she has served as co-leader for the firm’s strategy to advance inclusion, diversity, equity, and accessibility (IDEA) initiatives. Additionally, McKavish has led strategic efforts to improve Dewberry’s talent forecasting models, talent pipeline, and selection process to attract and hire dedicated professionals.

McKavish earned a bachelor’s degree in health services administration from Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania (2005) and is a certified DiSC® facilitator.
