In recognition of a 43-year career in the engineering profession, Craig R. Johnson, PE, has been honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award by the American Council of Engineering Companies of New Jersey (ACECNJ). Johnson received the award during ACENJ’s Engineering Excellence Awards Banquet in March 2025.
Johnson, an executive vice president for Dewberry, joined the firm in 1981. During his career, he advanced to operations unit manager, where he oversaw more than 500 employees who served clients across the commercial, federal, and state/local markets. In his current role, Johnson serves as operations officer for the firm’s Northeast division.
“Craig’s passion for leadership extends beyond our firm, to the community and region,” says Donald E. Stone, Jr., PE, Dewberry’s chief executive officer. "He has devoted his time and energy to elevating the engineering profession, mentoring staff, and supporting the community.”
Johnson earned his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Lafayette College (1981). He is a director of the New Jersey Chapter of ACEC, and a member of the American Society of Highway Engineers (ASHE).
