Dewberry, a privately held professional services firm, has announced the promotions of two staff members in its Leesburg, Virginia, office.
Rich Brittingham, RLA, has been promoted to vice president and currently serves as the business unit manager of Dewberry’s Leesburg, Virginia, office. Over a 20-year career, Brittingham has focused on master planning, due diligence, feasibility and legislative entitlements for a wide range of Dewberry clients. Brittingham earned a bachelor’s in landscape architecture from Virginia Tech (2003) and is a member of the Commercial Real Estate Development Association, Dulles Area Association of Realtors, International Council of Shopping Centers, and the Loudoun Chamber of Commerce.
Brittingham currently serves on the Loudoun County Zoning Ordinance Committee (appointed by the Board of Supervisors), which supports ongoing review and amendments to the Loudoun County Zoning Ordinance. He is well-versed in all aspects of project leadership, client management, and currently leads Dewberry’s support of mission critical data center facility projects nationwide.
Duane Thomas, PE, has been named associate vice president and serves as a senior project manager with 22 years of experience in the site/civil engineering design. His background includes design and permitting, commercial/mixed-use, office, and residential developments. Thomas earned a bachelor’s in civil engineering from The Pennsylvania State University (2002).
