Dewberry, a privately held professional services firm, has announced that Vice President and Business Unit Manager David Evers, PE, CEM, LEED AP, has received the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) Distinguished Service Award. The award recognizes ASHRAE members who have given their time and talent on behalf of the society, including committee leadership roles. Evers has held multiple roles in the society during his 30 years as a member, including chapter president, regional officer, society committee chair, and participation on many standing and technical committees.
Evers has over 30 years of experience in mechanical engineering and joined Dewberry in 2016. He leads the firm’s engineering practice in Peoria, Illinois, and is responsible for business and client management, quality control, and resource planning. His background includes energy efficiency, renewable energy and decarbonization, and supporting architecture services, including the design of healthcare, library, education, industrial, and justice facilities.

Evers earned his bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Bradley University (1991). He is currently a member of ASHRAE’s technical committee on resilience and security. Evers is also a member of the Association of Energy Engineers.
