Dewberry, a privately held professional services firm, has announced that Vice President Dennis Haglan, PE, has been promoted to operating unit manager for the firm’s Western division, which includes more than 150 staff across California and Colorado.
Haglan has been with the firm since 2019 and is based in
its Rancho Cordova, California, office. Under his leadership, the firm will
continue to provide transportation, water, environmental, site/civil, and land
development services to clients in the state/local, federal, and commercial

organically and through two acquisitions; one in Colorado in 2018 and another
in California in 2019.
“Dennis’ energy and ability to relate to his staff,
clients, and colleagues is a tremendous asset, and we’re thrilled to
appointment him to this new role,” says Dewberry President Darren Conner, PE.
“Additionally, Dennis has a great depth of experience in federally funded
projects and identifying and developing funding opportunities, allowing clients
to realize their projects and improve their communities.”
Haglan earned a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering
from the University of California, Davis (1989). He is a member of the American
Council of Engineering Companies, American Society of Civil Engineers, County
Engineers Association of California, and the Women’s Transportation Seminar.
