Dewberry, a privately held professional services firm, has announced that Elizabeth Scarce has been promoted to chief marketing officer; the first in the firm’s history. She is based in Dewberry’s Danville, Virginia, office where the firm has practiced since the 1970s.
Scarce has spent more than 30 years serving Dewberry in
various marketing roles, including her most recent position as national
director of marketing for the firm’s engineering services. As chief marketing
officer, Scarce will be responsible for overseeing enterprise marketing efforts
and initiatives and steering the marketing leadership group. She will work
closely with Dewberry’s corporate leadership team and directors, informing them
of market conditions and aligning professionals to best support marketing
pursuits. Scarce continues to have a significant responsibility to the firm’s
corporate strategic plan in the advancement of a business development and
marketing structure that supports the changing needs of Dewberry’s clients, as
well as the growth of the firm’s client management program.

Scarce earned a bachelor’s degree in communications from
Elon University (1991). She is a 2018 graduate of LEAD Virginia and member of
the Danville/Pittsylvania County Chamber of Commerce.
