As part of the contract, the firm will provide facility condition assessments, deferred and preventative maintenance plans, capital investment plans, and staffing recommendations. Dewberry will also provide operational efficiency studies, risk assessments, and incremental implementation plans. The facility condition assessment surveys will focus on various property elements, including exterior systems, interior construction and finishes, emergency power, fencing, accessibility, fire suppression, site utilities, and additional items. The surveys will also encompass the numerous systems, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire, life, and health safety; plumbing and electrical service distribution; and heating ventilation, and air conditioning.

“We’re excited to support Campbell University as they seek to address the future of their campus in a comprehensive manner,” says Dewberry Project Manager Kim Pierson, PE, PMP, LC. “With a total enrollment of more than 5,500 students, the university is set to continue growing, resulting in the need for an assessment of facilities and deferred maintenance planning.”
