These promotions include:

  • Cynthia Chen, CPA; Lisa Roger; and Craig Thomas have been promoted to senior vice president. Chen is the firm’s chief financial officer and has been with Dewberry for more than 17 years. She earned a master’s in accounting from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (2000) and a bachelor’s in international business from Suzhou University (1994), and is a member of the North Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants. Roger is Dewberry’s chief information officer and joined the firm in 2017. She earned a master’s in business administration from George Mason University (2020) and a bachelor’s in management information systems from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania (1989). Thomas serves as the firm’s general counsel and has been with Dewberry for nearly 30 years. He earned his Juris Doctor from the William & Mary Law School (1985) and his bachelor’s in government from the University of Virginia (1982). Thomas is a member of the American Bar Association, American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC), Association of Corporate Council, Society of Corporate Compliance and Ethics (SCCE), Virginia Bar Association, and the Virginia State Bar.
  • Timothy Culleiton, PE; Ron Jakominich, PE; Gib Jones, PE, CFM; and Mark Safran, CP, GISP, have been promoted to vice president. Culleiton is a business unit manager in the site/civil group and earned a bachelor’s in civil engineering from the University of Pittsburgh (1984) and another bachelor’s in mathematics from Saint Vincent College (1984). He has earned awards from Metropolitan Washington Associated Builders and Contractors and Fairfax County. Culleiton is a member of the American Public Works Association and the Society of American Military Engineers (SAME). Jakominich is a senior project manager in the transportation group and has been with the firm for 20 years. He earned a bachelor’s in civil engineering from Villanova University (1995) and is a member of the American Railway Engineering and Maintenance-of-Way Association and the Design-Build Institute of America. Jones is a senior project manager in the water group with more than 30 years of experience. He earned a master’s in civil and environmental engineering from Cornell University (1990) and a bachelor’s in civil engineering from Penn State University (1988). Jones is a member of the Association of State Floodplain Managers, North Carolina Association of Floodplain Managers, and the Virginia Floodplain Management Association. Safran is a senior program manager for the firm’s geospatial and technology services group with more than 35 years of experience. He earned a bachelor’s degree in geography from San Francisco State University, serves on the Council of the American Geographical Society, and is a member of the American Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ASPRS), California Geographic Information Association, Pennsylvania Mapping and Geographic Information Consortium, United States Geospatial Intelligence Foundation, and the Urban and Regional Information Systems Association (URISA).
  • Jerry Mrykalo, PE, PTOE, and Ken Logsdon, PMP, GISP, ENV SP, have been promoted to associate vice president. Mrykalo is the department manager for the firm’s mid-Atlantic traffic engineering group and has more than 17 years of experience. He earned a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Penn State University (2005) and was named the 2020 WTS-DC Honorable Ray LaHood Award winner and a 2018 ACEC Virginia Rising Star. Logsdon is a program manager with the geospatial and technology services and asset management groups and has more than 35 years of experience. He earned a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Virginia Tech (1987) and is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers and the Project Management Institute (PMI).
  • Parul Amin, PE; Lisa Cochran, PHR; Dave Rutkowski, PMP; and Sarah Vucci, CCEP, aPHR, have been promoted to senior associate. Amin has more than 18 years of experience and is the assistant bridge department manager in the transportation group. She earned a master’s in structural engineering from George Washington University (2005) and a bachelor’s in civil engineering from Sardar Patel University (1991). Cochran is a regional human resources manager and has nearly 15 years of experience. She earned a bachelor’s in communications from James Madison University (2008) and is a member of the International Association of Business Communicators and the Society for Human Resources Management. Rutkowski is the firm’s director of training and development and has 22 years of experience. He earned a master’s (2005) and bachelor’s (1999) in English from Virginia Tech and is a member of PMI. Vucci is a corporate compliance manager and has more than 11 years of experience. She earned a bachelor’s degree from George Mason University (2008) and is a member of SCCE.
  • Keith Hull, PE, PMP, and James Parker, GISP, PMP, have been promoted to associate. Hull is a program manager with the federal team and has more than 36 years of experience. He earned a bachelor’s in civil engineering from Virginia Tech (1985) and is a member of PMI and SAME. Parker is a senior project manager with the GTS group and has nearly 15 years of experience. He earned a bachelor’s degree in GIS, statistics, and remote sensing from the University of Southampton, UK (2007). Parker is a certified project manager, GIS professional, and AWS Cloud Practitioner.
