As the mentor, Dewberry provides Lowe Engineers with guidance on internal business management systems; assistance navigating federal contract bidding, acquisition, and performance processes; education about strategic planning and finding markets; advising on the federal government market; and business development. Under the agreement, the firms will partner on necessary and valuable federal contracting best practices. Both firms have worked in the federal market for more than 60 years. Some of Dewberry’s federal clients include the Federal Emergency Management Agency, U.S. Geological Survey, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, and the Department of Defense, including the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Navy, and Air Force.

“Small and veteran-owned businesses are an asset to our nation’s economy. Our partnership with Lowe offers both firms valuable opportunities to increase our workforces,” says Dewberry Executive Vice President Phil Thiel. “We see complimenting strengths across our companies and are looking forward to working with Lowe to grow our respective federal practices.”

“Lowe is very grateful for this opportunity to team, work, and learn from a firm like Dewberry. Not only is Dewberry an amazing corporation, but we also see alignment with our corporate culture and values. We are thankful for the trust that Dewberry has shown in our company and look forward to continued growth and opportunities,” says Lowe Partner Sally Riker, F. SAME.

The three-year program will be complete in 2024.
