Dewberry has been selected for a requirements contract with the New York City Department of Design and Construction (NYCDDC) for engineering and related services for bridges, step streets, retaining walls and bulkheads, and other miscellaneous structures throughout the city. The firm has been working with NYCDDC since the agency’s inception more than 30 years ago and has expertise in civil, structural, and environmental services in dense urban areas, including projects to enhance the resilience of municipal infrastructure.
Dewberry is one of three firms to be awarded the
contract to provide engineering design and related services throughout New York
City. These infrastructure projects may be federally and/or city-funded and located
in any of the city’s five boroughs.
“We are excited to be one of the firms selected to work
on these projects,” says Dewberry Associate Vice President Katherine Dewkett,
PE. “Our goal is to use our multidiscipline expertise and many years of experience
in New York City to help improve the city’s infrastructure in all five
boroughs.”
