Dewberry announced the promotion of two structural engineers in its Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, office. The promotions coincide with Dewberry's ongoing expansion of engineering, environmental, and consulting services in Pennsylvania, where the firm has practiced since the early 1990s.

    These promotions include:

  • Curtis Sanno, PE, CBSI, has been promoted to senior associate. He is the bridge structures department manager, with technical expertise in preliminary design as well as preparation of final plans, specifications, and estimates (PS&E) for bridge elements, including prestressed concrete superstructures and reinforced concrete structures. Sanno earned a bachelor's in civil engineering from Pennsylvania State University (2002), is a Pennsylvania Department of Transportation-certified bridge safety inspector, and is a professional engineer in Florida, Pennsylvania, and Virginia. He is a member of the American Railway Engineering and Maintenance-of-Way Association and the Allegheny chapter of the American Society of Highway Engineers.

  • Lee Smith, PE, has been promoted to associate. He is a senior project manager in the structures department with technical expertise in the design and preparation of preliminary type, size, and location (TS&L) and foundation submission reports, as well as PS&E packages for both new and rehabilitated steel and concrete bridges. Smith earned a bachelor's in civil engineering from Pennsylvania State University (1999) and is a professional engineer in New York, North Carolina, and Pennsylvania. He is a member of the Altoona chapter of the American Society of Highway Engineers.
