Dewberry announced that Sara Harper, PE, CWRE, has joined the Sacramento, California, office as a project manager. In her new position, she will support water resource projects in California.

Harper has more than 10 years of experience in water rights, agricultural engineering, and integrated water resources planning. She has extensive knowledge of analyzing complex water systems, water management and conservation, water transfers, irrigation scheduling and design, and surface and groundwater planning. Prior to joining Dewberry, Harper was a water resources engineer working primarily in California, Oregon, and Nevada. Her responsibilities included managing project teams, analyzing surface and groundwater rights, water right reporting, preparing expert witness testimony, and creating surface and groundwater management plans for various agricultural and urban water purveyors.

Harper earned her bachelor's degree in bioresources and agricultural engineering from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. She is a professional engineer in California and Oregon and is a Certified Water Rights Examiner in Oregon. She is a member of the Sacramento chapter of the American Society of Civil Engineers.
