Dewberry's design for the Route 206 Bypass was recognized with "Award of Merit, New York Region" for providing an alternate roadway to traffic that was causing congestion in a pedestrian- and business-friendly district.

Providing preliminary and final designs for the three-mile $130-million project, Dewberry's plans included a new limited access bypass section designed as a divided roadway. The bypass diverted traffic around a central business district, thereby aiding the area's transition to a town center focused around a central boulevard where residents can meet, shop, play, and dine. The U.S. Route 206 Bypass will also serve as an inter-modal link to a potential future passenger rail service currently being studied by New Jersey Transit.

Dewberry's design for the Neponset River Bridge in Boston, MA was recognized with "Award of Merit, New England Region" for rehabilitating a 2,300-foot-long multi-span bridge while integrating a workable traffic management scheme.

The $20-million first phase included a complete reconstruction of deteriorated hammerhead pier caps and a seismic retrofit with isolation bearings, all of which was performed below the roadway with minimal traffic impacts. The recently completed $34-million second phase provided complete roadway deck reconstruction. This phase also improved pedestrian access and circulation throughout the project site, including wider sidewalks, ADA-compliant ramps, and new lighting and railings.

As part of Massachusetts Department of Transportation's Accelerated Bridge Program, the project reached substantial completion in March 2013, five months ahead of schedule.
