Dewberry, a privately held professional services firm, announced today that IES Engineers will become a Dewberry affiliate. The mechanical/electrical engineering firm is based in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, and will be known as IES Engineers-Dewberry.
IES Engineers was established in 1976. Over the past 31 years the firm has established a reputation for excellent mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection and control system engineering for the highly specialized healthcare and university laboratory market. The firm's clientele include WakeMed Health & Hospitals, Duke University Hospital, University of North Carolina Hospital, and Cape Fear Valley Hospital.
"We are looking forward to combining the skills and resources of our two firms," said Dan Koenigshofer, PE, principal-in-charge of IES Engineers-Dewberry. "IES Engineers adds specialized expertise in healthcare industry engineering design to Dewberry's portfolio."

IES Engineers-Dewberry will maintain its current location at 605 Eastowne Drive, Chapel Hill, North Carolina, 27514. Dewberry also has an office in the Research Triangle: 2301 Rexwoods Drive, Suite 200, Raleigh, North Carolina, 27607.
