Serving as lead engineers and environmental consultants on a design-build team, our professionals planned, designed, permitted and constructed a 12-mile freeway improvement of Route 28 in Northern Virginia, responding each interchange's unique environmental challenges. We delineated wetlands, obtained regulatory permits, designed compensatory mitigation, performed hazardous material surveys, conducted habitat surveys for threatened and endangered species, coordinated cultural and historic resource surveys, managed a cemetery relocation, and developed crucial NEPA documentation.
