In response to continued development in the Longwood Medical Area, the Boston Water and Sewer Commission retained us to develop a condition/capacity assessment of its wastewater infrastructure. We conducted a detailed infiltration/inflow study and capacity analysis to determine what improvements needed to be made. Our recommended infrastructure improvements are estimated to remove over 100,000 gallons per day of groundwater and prevent almost 500,000 gallons (during a standard storm event) of rainwater from entering the sanitary sewer system.
