Dewberry announced that Angela Chambers, PE, has joined the firm as a senior project manager in its Orlando, Florida, office.

A civil engineer with more than 15 years of experience, Chambers’ background includes government and private utility experience in water, wastewater, natural gas, and liquefied natural gas (LNG). Her technical expertise also includes the design of water and wastewater treatment facilities and conveyance projects, and natural gas process plants. As a senior project manager with Dewberry, Chambers is responsible for project management and growing the firm’s water and wastewater practice in the Florida market, while assisting the energy group with natural gas projects. Her previous experience includes serving as the project manager on a $64-million tunnel project, which was drilled into the granite of Georgia’s Stone Mountain and was constructed for wastewater conveyance and storage. The 12-foot diameter tunnel was three miles long and 250 feet deep at the deepest shaft.

“After having spent many years on the client side of projects, I’m thrilled to be back on the consultancy side where I’m able to provide solutions to our clients’ most complex challenges,” says Chambers. “As I step into this new role, I’m proud to offer our clients expertise on their water and wastewater, natural gas, and LNG projects.”

Chambers earned a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Central Florida (2003). She is a professional engineer and a member of the American Water Works Association (AWWA).

“We couldn’t be more excited to welcome Angela to our team,” says Associate Vice President Rey Malave, PE. “Her background in LNG is unique, and we’re pleased to offer this expertise to our clients.”
