Keith Ludwig, PLS, has been elected president of the Society of American Military Engineers (SAME), Philadelphia post.

Ludwig has been an active member of the Philadelphia SAME post for more than 12 years and has served on the board of directors for nine. He previously served on a committee for SAME's Signature Event, which supports local disabled veterans through various nonprofits, including the Travis Manion Foundation. Ludwig is chair of the program committee and a member of the audit and scholarship committees. Last year, he was nominated and elected to the role of first vice president. The Philadelphia post is categorized as a Large Post within SAME National, and includes more 450 members and 160 sustaining member firms.

With nearly 35 years of experience in land surveying, Ludwig works as an associate and the northeast survey operations manager in Dewberry's Mount Laurel, New Jersey, office. He provides supervision to field crews and technicians and is an expert in boundary and property line analysis, universal transverse mercator (UTM) and geographic computations, commercial and residential development, hydrographic surveys, highway surveys, 3D laser scanning, aerial control networks, and geomatics.

Ludwig earned a bachelor's degree in land surveying from the New Jersey Institute of Technology (2004) and is a professional land surveyor in numerous states. In addition to his active participation in SAME, Ludwig is a member of the National Society of Professional Surveyors and the New Jersey Society of Professional Land Surveyors.
