Dewberry has announced the promotion of David Hicks, PE, to associate vice president and Kerri Tyerman, PE, to associate in the firm's Bloomfield, New Jersey, office.

Hicks is responsible for the analysis, design, and report and contract preparation for structural projects. With more than 30 years of bridge engineering experience, he has expertise in inspection, design, rehabilitation, and replacement of prestressed and reinforced concrete, steel, and timber structures. He has worked on various projects for the New Jersey Department of Transportation, New Jersey Turnpike Authority, and local municipalities.

Hicks earned his bachelor's degree in civil engineering from Lehigh University. He is a professional engineer in New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania and a member of the American Institute of Steel Construction and the American Society of Civil Engineers.

Tyerman is a highway project manager and has extensive knowledge in the design of roadways and transit facilities from conceptual design to the preparation of final contract documents. She has served as the project manager for various projects for the New Jersey Department of Transportation and New Jersey Transit.

She earned her master's degree in transportation engineering and her bachelor's degree in civil engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology. Tyerman is a professional engineer in New Jersey and New York and a member of the Women's Transportation Seminar, the Metropolitan Railway Club of New York, the American Society of Highway Engineers, and the American Society of Civil Engineers.
