Dewberry is pleased to announce the promotions of Rey Malave, PE, to associate vice president and Nicole Stalder, PE, LEED AP, to senior associate in the firm’s Orlando, Florida, office.

Malave manages the Orlando office’s municipal group and has more than 35 years of experience in civil engineering design. He has designed and permitted airports, golf courses, commercial and industrial developments, and large utility systems. Malave designed the water utilities at the recently completed Boggy Creek Road interchange and helped relocate utilities for a new regional expressway/arterial corridor in Poinciana, Florida. He received his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Puerto Rico and his master’s degree in business administration from DeVry University. Malave is a registered professional engineer in Florida and is a member of the Florida Engineering Society, International Council of Shopping Centers, National Society of Professional Engineers, American Water Works Association, and the American Society of Civil Engineers.

Stalder manages the Orlando office’s site/civil engineering group and has more than 16 years of experience in land development, stormwater management, entitlements, site planning, construction management, zoning, and feasibility studies. She is the project manager for dozens of private development projects across North and Central Florida and contributed to the 175-acre Colonial Town Park development in Seminole County, Florida, that includes more than one million square feet of office space, a 534-unit multi-family development, and more than 60 acres of open green areas. She received her bachelor’s degrees in civil engineering and environmental engineering from the University of Central Florida, is a licensed professional engineer in Florida, and is a LEED accredited professional.
