The new Timberglen Branch Library, which opened in 2007 for the City of Dallas, has recently received a LEED Gold® certification from the U.S. Green Building Council. The certification represents one of the highest ratings for sustainability in building design and construction.

Designed by the Dallas office of PSA-Dewberry, a nationally ranked architectural and engineering firm, the library is an 18,000-square-foot structure that includes collections space, a children's area, and classroom and meeting space. Sustainable features were a high priority for the city throughout the design process, with a focus on reducing energy and water consumption.
