As part of the contract, Dewberry may provide site/civil engineering, steam and hot water distribution, water and sewer design, environmental, water resources, transportation, surveying, landscape architecture, interiors, and mechanical, electrical, and plumbing services. The firm has been providing services to UVA for 25 years and has completed nearly 600 projects for the university across its North Grounds, Central Grounds, West Grounds, Health System, and Old Ivy areas.

Dewberry’s work on the Brandon Avenue District stormwater management project earned a 2022 American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) of Virginia Engineering Excellence Award, a 2021 Best Urban BMP in the Bay Area Award by the Chesapeake Stormwater Network, and a 2020 Engineering News-Record (ENR) MidAtlantic Best Project Award.
