Working for the Central Florida Expressway Authority (CFX), we designed a 2.3-mile section of Wekiva Parkway (State Road 429), including three overpasses, a partial cloverleaf interchange at Kelly Park Road, and modifications to several local arterials. Major components of the design included enhanced aesthetics and environmental protection. The section of the parkway that we designed begins just north of Ponkan Road and extends north of Kelly Park Road. Once finished, the new high-speed, limited access parkway will complete the beltway around Orlando, relieving traffic congestion on Interstate 4 and improving access to northwest Orange County and southeast Lake County.
