We are preparing the environmental documentation and final construction plans for the conversion of an at-grade intersection to an interchange at U.S. 29/70/I-85 BUS and State Road 1798 (Old Greensboro Road) in Davidson County.  The planning work includes functional designs, traffic capacity analysis, public involvement, community impact assessments, and natural resources surveys. We are also responsible for the survey work and final designs for the roadway, structures, hydraulics, erosion control, traffic control, signing, and pavement markings. Our design includes an oval roundabout directly under the grade separation with the ramps designed similar to a compressed diamond interchange with retaining walls.

The design minimizes land area impacts, eliminates crossing conflicts, improves operational efficiencies, and enhances safety. The planning and design phases are advancing concurrently to meet an accelerated project schedule.
