As part of the Risk Assessment, Mapping, and Planning Partners (RAMPP) joint venture, which includes URS and ESP Associates, we supported FEMA's Risk MAP initiative by developing outreach tactics that effectively communicate flood risks associated with levees to the public. Available through FEMA's website, deliverables included an outreach toolkit for community officials, the media, and the public, as well as resources geared toward FEMA personnel to help communicate facts about levee risk to the public, including the development of a levee failure and overtopping database.
