Mother Clara Hale Bus Depot Sustainable Return on Investment Study

Measuring Sustainability
New York, New York

85%

reduction in greenhouse gas emissions

The Mother Clara Hale Bus Depot, New York City Transit's first LEED® Gold building, incorporates sustainable features including a 54,000-square-foot green roof, a solar wall, and rainwater reuse. We evaluated the performance of these features to determine their return on investment for both the project and the community. We used the Institute for Sustainable Infrastructure’s (ISI’s) Envision model and AutoCase Software to evaluate sustainable return on investment (SROI).
