Dewberry, a privately held professional services firm, has announced that Wael Youssef, PE, has been hired as a vice president and the building structures group leader in the firm’s New York City office.

Youssef joins the firm with more than 25 years of experience in designing and delivering complex projects, including commercial buildings, airports, transit facilities, waterfront structures, and flood resilience. He also has expertise in plan reviews, value engineering and constructability studies, project management, and construction support. In his role with Dewberry, he will help grow the firm’s buildings structures portfolio in multiple market segments across New York and throughout the enterprise.

Youssef earned a master’s degree in structural engineering from The City College of New York (1996) and a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Cairo University (1991). He is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineering (ASCE).
