New Record (ENR) Mountain States
has released its 2020 list of Top Young Professionals, which includes Dewberry
Project Manager Megan Schulze, PE, PMP. This list recognizes up-and-coming
industry leaders under the age of 40 based on education, career experience, industry
leadership, and community service.
Schulze has been with Dewberry for more than five years, and has nearly a decade
of industry experience. Based in the firm’s Denver, Colorado, office, she has
expertise in retrofitting and replacing heating, ventilation, and air
conditioning (HVAC) and controls systems for large-scale municipal, state, and
federal projects. Additionally, Schulze is a retro-commissioning specialist—the
systematic optimization of existing commercial buildings—with extensive
experience in federal, healthcare, and higher education facilities.
Schulze currently serves as senator for the
Society of Women Engineers, an organization she has been involved with for more
than 13 years and who recently recognized Schulze with the 2019 SWE
Distinguished New Engineer Award. Additionally, she serves as the webmaster for
the Pikes Peak Post of the Society of American Military Engineers (SAME) where
she fosters communication for members to network and collaborate to identify
and resolve national security infrastructure-related challenges. Schulze earned
her master’s degree in management from Colorado State University, Global Campus
(2016) and her bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from California
Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo (2012).
