Dewberry has announced the promotion of nearly 60 employees nationwide, including seven staff members in its Tampa, Florida, office. The promotions coincide with Dewberry's ongoing expansion of engineering, architectural, and consulting services in the Southeast, where the firm has practiced since 1975.

These promotions include:

• Amar Nayegandhi, CP, CMS, GISP, has been promoted to senior vice president. Based in Tampa, he is the firm’s national director of remote sensing and leads the geospatial and technology services (GTS) group across Tampa, Florida; Fairfax, Virginia; and Denver, Colorado. Nayegandhi earned a master’s degree in computer science from the University of South Florida (2001) and a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Mumbai (1998). He recently co-edited the American Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ASPRS) DEM Users Manual. Nayegandhi’s research and findings have been published more than 65 times.
• Daniel Bubser, GISP, has been promoted to associate vice president and is the production department manager for the firm’s geospatial group in Tampa, Fairfax, and Denver. He supports the provision of remote sensing, geographic information systems (GIS), photogrammetry, and photo interpretation services to state, local, and federal clients. Bubser earned an associate’s degree in geographic information systems from Hocking College (2000) and is a member of ASPRS.
• Elise MacPherson, PMP, and Keith Patterson, PSM, GISP, SP, have been promoted to senior associate. MacPherson is a senior project manager in the GTS group. She manages large projects for the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), and state and local governments. MacPherson earned a bachelor’s degree in environmental science from Queen’s University (1995) and earned her project management professional (PMP) certification in 2013. Patterson is a senior project manager in the GTS group and is experienced in photo interpretation, photogrammetry, lidar, environmental field work, remote sensing, surveying, and GIS. He earned a bachelor’s degree in geography from the University of South Florida and is a member of ASPRS and a director of the ASPRS Florida Region.
• Meagan Anderson, Nick Kules, and Ray Miller, CP, CMS, GISP, PMP, have been promoted to associate. Anderson is a quality manager in the GTS group. She supports processing and quality assurance and quality control of geospatial projects, provides technical oversight on projects, helps implement process improvements, and leads the firm’s lidar training program. She earned a bachelor’s degree in geography from Florida State University (2011) and is a member of ASPRS. Kules is a GTS technology manager and technical expert in topographic and bathymetric lidar. He manages and advises on internal and external technological initiatives as well as providing remote sensing and GIS production workflow process design and development. He earned a master’s degree in natural resources (2013) and a bachelor’s degree in earth science (2011), both from Oregon State University. Kules is a member of ASPRS. Miller is a project manager in the GTS group and oversees projects for NOAA, USGS, and local government agencies. He earned his master’s degree (2005) and bachelor’s degree (2003) in geography from the University of South Florida. Miller is a member of ASPRS and the Project Management Institute.
