The Inova Schar Cancer Institute project was awarded Best Project in the healthcare category. Dewberry provided site/civil engineering services, including planning, surveying, land development, landscaping, and environmental engineering for the project in Fairfax, Virginia. The institute is part of a larger development on approximately 117 acres of the Inova Center for Personalized Health’s campus. The facility features cancer treatment spaces, parking facilities, and outdoor recreational areas.

The 655 New York Avenue development in Washington, D.C., earned an Award of Merit in the office/retail mixed-use development category. Dewberry provided site/civil and mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineering services for the development, which encompasses a full city block. The team integrated 19 historic buildings, along with a 250,000-square-foot underground garage, and a new 130-foot-tall office and retail tower.
