With more than four million cubic yards of excavation, our geotechnical investigations were a key project component. We designed the project to eliminate large waste or borrow areas.

Route 15 Improvements

Tioga County, PA and Steuben County, NY

Crossing State Lines

Traffic on U.S. Route 15 in Tioga County, Pennsylvania, and Steuben County, New York, exceeded the highway's capabilities. Since this $124 million project crossed state lines, our geographically diverse engineers collaborated to meet all stakeholders' challenges, including designing the PS&E package for four construction contracts, while managing two contracts prepared in-house by PennDOT and one by NYSDOT.

"From survey, to roadway design, bridge design, water analysis, right-of-way acquisition, geotechnical support, project management and support [we] had complete confidence in their ability, recommendations, and analysis. They were a great partner." Virginia Feigles-Kaar, Project Manager, PennDOT Engineering District 3-0.
