Under the direction of the Mississippi Department of Marine Resources, we are creating a framework for assessing resilience across critical systems by expanding the existing Community Resilience Index (CRI), an assessment tool used by communities around the Gulf of Mexico region. This effort is intended to develop a set of focused, system-specific indices for two target community sectors: tourism and seafood industries in coastal Alabama and Mississippi.
