When the Maryland Emergency Management Agency required a comprehensive update to its State Hazard Mitigation Plan within a tight 15-week timeframe, our team of specialists responded quickly, providing a thorough analysis of natural and human-caused hazards and mitigation strategies. Using a variety of innovative tools and techniques, six teams worked consecutively to complete the vulnerability analysis in just five weeks - normally a four-month task. The successful completion of the plan, which also included public outreach and the development of plan implementation and maintenance procedures, enabled the state to qualify for FEMA post-disaster public assistance and a variety of hazard mitigation grant programs.
